Wouldn't it be better if the symbol was named "_end" or "__end"? Is it possible to change? > "ld --verbose | grep end" will show you where it comes from. Alas the program gcc uses is collect2 not ld, and the output from collect2 --verbose does not contain any symbol end. Right, MartinS
