It seems that file cross/patch.lib in djcrx203.zip should be removed as
it is not needed for recent enough versions of binutils (and even 
breaks them). Cross-binutils works Ok (Versions 2.9.1 and 14 March 
snapshot) under Linux, but applying this patch makes LD to fail. 

Not long time ago I made binaries of cross-compiler and cross-binutils
for Linux (however no special announcement sent). The problem 
I mentioned caused problems with my binaries as one of users applied
this patch and get linker problems after that.

Maybe it was Ok for some earlier version of binutils though...
