.gnu.linkonce (with long section names), the alignment change, and the update of the 
generated linker script are easy enough. Weak symbols are harder because it was 
already in when the sources were imported to sourceware's cvs. This means I can't 
generate a patch to make it easy to backport. Win32 ports use a similiar method to 
.gnu.linkonce for template support, so perhaps just it will work out. I'll have to 
test this to make sure. I'll let you know in a few days.
