Of course, something must be done there - at first I was planning to create
some BAT
file which user could run to re-enable numeric tails, if he is too lazy to
use regedit by
himself.

I think it is good way.

Yes, this topic is in the FAQ (22.18) and I think I will copy it to my
lbinstdj.txt.
However, its author does not agree with Andris:
"For what it's worth, I always run my system with numeric tails disabled,
and I have yet to see a single real problem."
So the final decision is up to user, as always.
