Oops, I didn't attach the file. Just as well I didn't because of the 
file's length. The libtool files use CR/LF for EOL until after the line:
### END LIBTOOL CONFIG

but then all EOLs are LF until the end of file. Like I mentioned 
earlier, converting these libtool files to use only one EOL type or 
the other lets 'make' complete.
