That is, of course, a bug in either the config files or egcs itself. 
Either fix it and send in the patches or report it (both with test cases
is preferred).  I can't help you, unfortunatly, as I'm busy getting egcs
to work with the i860 and I seem to be fighting a losing battle with
reload.  Of course, it's most likely something wrong with my #define's
in i860.h, but it's bloody frustrating!
