You are right, there is such a fragment.

There are several places with `selector' in the Program Index, but I
guess you didn't look there. Program Index means it is *arranged* by a
program name, but it doesn't mean the entries there are only program
names. So when in doubt, search both the indices for the topics.
The best way to look in the indices is by using Info's `i' command: press
`i', type "selector RET", and then press comma `,' until the node that is
displayed is what you want. Using this method, the third hit displayed
by Info was the one I looked for.
The advantage of this method is that you don't need to guess in what
index does an issue belong. You also don't need to go to the index
node to use this command.

It's not specific to Bash (Make can also fail like this), so it is
catalogued under Windows.

I will try to add some more indexing, thanks. (I almost never get any
feedback about the indices, so either they are exceptionally good, which
I don't believe, or nobody uses them.)
