Looks like You forgot to patch AS not to include in object files info about
temporary labels. As I can see all 'XXXXXXXX t   L???' is still in output of NM.
So I'm temporary returning to 2.8.1. At least no other visible problems in
first 20 minutes (building gcc-2.8.1 together with g77)
