I'm moving them to a new v2gnu/alphas directory.

Note: the distribution includes backup files (like Makefile.in~).
Please be careful to remove them before you make the final zips.  I
also noticed that some files are replicated between zips.  While not a
rule, it is desirable to avoid this so that uninstalls are possible.
