I tried Martins version on a 3.11 NW server with VLMs as the network
redirector. It worked fine up to the 25th subdirectory, starting from
the NW _real_root dir of the netware volumes, so this is a limitation
of Netware. I cross checked this by issuing the commands
MAP ROOT L:=i:\demmer\a\b\c\d\e\f\g\h\i\j\k\l\m\n\o\p\q\r\s\t\u\v\w
MD L:X
and the MD failed.
Martin's version caught the error and reported doserr=3, errno=22.
Digging my red books I found that there is a settable parameter
for the maximum directory depth that must be in the range of 10-100.
As I do not set it anywhere, 25 must be the default.
This can cause trouble, if a SysOp decides to put up a deep directory
structure, but this is not a DJGPP problem, but all programs will
suffer from that.
Ciao
Tom
