Hi DJ, (and all the other workers)
I have uploaded today the following files to your incoming:
gcc280b.zip
gcc280s.zip
gpp280b.zip
lgpp280s.zip
lgpp280b.zip
objc280b.zip
As discussed already some time ago, I would like, that you
can upload them to simtelnet in either v2/alphas or
v2gnu/alphas so anyone (at least the workers here) can get
and test it.
I would think, that a testing time of about 1 or 2 weeks is
enough and after this time I would reupload the final archives.
I have tested them already for my own (recompiled gcc itself,
build libgpp.a with gcc 2.8.0, rebuild RHIDE completely and
I did a
make check
in the libg++ distrib successfull, so I think in general it
should work OK, but nobody knows :-)
Now to all:
_PLEASE_ test the distrib. Here what I'm special interested in:
- Does it work in general after installing it or are there some
missing files reported (probably because of incorrect paths)
- Is it possible to recompile from the sources (which are already
configured)
- Are there any LFN- NOLFN-problems.
- Any problems (of course only DJGPP related, since I haven't
the time to fix core gcc bugs)
and last, but very important at least for me. I would really
like if someone could take a look on the README.DJGPP's
_AND_ correct, improve, add and so on..., because I'm not the best
person in writing understandable and good README's
So, in the hope, that I did what you were waiting already for
a long time, happy testing.
And a very last note. Currently I have to do here for my own
many other things, so I haven't so much time. I will read any
of my mails, but please excuse, that I will probably not be
able to answer all.
Robert
