Right - that was one of the first fixes after the problematic 1st pgcc release.
I too am confused as to how the presence or absence of an align
directive is having an effect on the symbols that gas sees. I will confirm
that adding a .align works and then send off to Ian to see his thoughts.
Hopefully, this is restricted to just pgcc (which doesn't use align much),
and not egcs.
