I fixed a minor bug in a seldom (if ever) called piece of code that 
someone brought to my attention.  I decreased the footprint (and image
size, and binary distribution size) of the ring 0 version by ifdefing
some code that was never called.  Unless someone finds something really
bad in the next couple of days, it's released.
