Well it would, but I was thinking that it would be better if DJ's
readme.1st
advised you that many source distributions would assume you were running
bash.

Yes CONFIG.BAT complained. That is my point. It took me two days to get
and
compile emacs, not one, because I had to run CONFIG.BAT to find out that
mv
and rm were required. (This was ages ago, BTW. I've been running my
successfully comiled copy for many months.)
