I have just uploaded the latest version of DJVERIFY, version 0.3 Alpha,
to DJ's incoming directory. Look at the 'readme.djv' for a detailed
list of new features. Essentially, all the testing is implemented
except for package verification. The diagnostic message format is
standardized in such a way as to allow Mark Habersack's installer
program to easily parse DJVERIFY's output.
I eagerly await any comments on the program, especially on ways to
improve the diagnostic tests. I am aware that multiple errors in
interactive mode tend to scroll off the screen; I plan on implementing a
window-based system to read them for the next version. Mostly I need to
know if A) the diagnostics work correctly, B) I haven't forgotten
anything too significant. :)
Thanks!
P.S.: I am using Info-Zip and a Unix-aware ftp program now, so all the
files should be in the correct case this time. Also, to make room for
the version numbers I changed the base name of the distribution from
'djvrfyXX' to 'vrfyXXXX'. I also made my code more version-friendly.
