I'm somewhat confused about where different ports for different tools
are kept.

I'm running the ported bash, and I'm pretty happy with it (seems much faster
then win32...also can handle win32 binaries (which msh can't).

Can we put alpha tools in one place with a fast connection (if its not
already done?)

I'd like to see if we could use alpha.gnu.ai.mit.edu (a well know site).

dj's machine is too slow...(unless I missed a common site announcement).

Dj talked about simtel.net, but I didn't see an alpha stuff in vendors/gnu.
