This is how OS2 works; it have most system files in uppercase, but some in lowercase. Unfortunately, it don't have DOS LFN API. (maybe in 4.0...) OTOH, the windows explorer downcases at least some filenames. I'd suggest to deal with LFN like the explorer does.
