Thanks for the words of confidence, but that still doesn't make it release
ready :-) In the past I have found bugs usually fit into the "not completely
tested" or "unexpected side effect" categories. In this case I have
completely removed the TC startup code and all libc references, tinkered
with the locking failure behavior, changed the A20 enable detection code,
put some limit checking in on memory zones and selectors, hw interrupt fixes,
and a bunch of minor bug fixes and size optimizations. Thus, the possibilities
for bugs are endless =:-\ ... and a bit more caution is wise.

My current working binary is on riceng.rice.edu, username djgpp, password
betatest, in 3b.zip (13Kbyte). So far it seems to work fine for me, and
a few other testers wanting specific bug fixes. But I wanted to test all
the major functions and environments and give it a few days workout before
declaring it beta, ready for release. If anyone wants to check it out
early, that's fine, since I expect to add only a couple of minor enhancements
which shouldn't break anything.
