Since a new release is in the works, I suggest that the improvements in 
`system' that I have be included there.  I linked it with Less and Emacs 
and it seems to work fine.  There still is place to continue testing,
of course, and I've asked Hans-Bernhard Broeker to test it with ms_sh, 
but it seems to be in pretty good shape as it is.  (One thing I didn't 
try yet is to link it with Make, since some functions on dosexec.c have 
also changed to support new functionality.)

If people think that's a good idea, I can mail the new sources.
