Salaam,
This is to announce some basic examples made available by Michael (a student of mine) and me.
He has done them using DJGPP and Allegro, source code included. I hope you, the beginner && || newbie, find them useful. If you do, do drop us an Email.
They will help you get the hang of:
page flipping and some graphics routines
lighting and translucency effects
how to use the mouse and sound routines from the Allegro library
in using double buffering for displaying a randomly flying circle
drawing lines on the screen using your mouse
how to use the random() function
using page flipping in mode X
You can find these examples, all 7 of them, at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Heights/2571/
Many thanks to all of you who have made DJGPP and Allegro.
Best wishes,
J. Paul
