People who use the above utilities should please note that a new version
of the binary distributions has been uploaded to SimTel.NET mirrors; the
new zip files are dated November 5.
The known problems corrected in these new uploads are:
* Startup code now expands files which begin with a dot (on
Windows 95) correctly. Previously, "ls .gdb*" would not find `.gdbinit'.
* Root directories on SUBSTed drives are no more reported as
having the "." and ".." entries twice.
* "test -x prog" will look for `prog.exe', `prog.com', etc. if
`prog' does not exist (this is `test' from Sh-utils).
Only the last fix is in the package sources (so shl112s.zip is also new);
the rest are all DJGPP library bugs. Since a fixed version of djdev201 is
not yet available from SimTel, I've just linked the packages against my
patched library.
Let me remind you that any further discissions on this issue should go to
comp.os.msdos.djgpp news group, NOT to this list.
