I prefer to use gcc16.exe over gcc.exe.
If I don't use anything new will gcc16.exe still work?
If not do you have a 2.4.0 gcc16.exe?

The old gcc16 should work in most situations. I don't know of any
reason why it wouldn't work, but one can never tell...
