I did a quick test with a native Linux gcc "6.0" and it seems to work OK, and the __gnu_inline__ attribute is still documented as giving us the behavior we want. Can anyone else reproduce this bug, and if so, provide both "gcc -E ..." and "gcc -S ..." output files from the failing test case?
