I am really happy that you made available a new version of make. There was at least one makefile that I remember that would not compile with the old make version and I will try it now with your new version.

Yes, I also often run configure on Linux and then modify the resulting Makefile to run with djgpp in DOS. I was not aware that it is so much effort to port additional autotools.
