Hi again, (for completeness ....) On Jan 9, 3:30 pm, Rugxulo <rugx DOT DOT DOT AT gmail DOT com> wrote: > > All I'm aware of is what is (only) in /current/v2gnu/: cvs110?.zip, > rcs5713?.zip If you're really adventurous (or just more familiar with it), you could try GNU CSSC. It seems to actually build (via cross compilation with Ozkan's toolset), ignoring the dumb broken test suite, but I can't test it as I'm unfamiliar with it. It's meant to (mostly) be a (POSIX) SCCS replacement. http://www.gnu.org/software/cssc/ It's based upon MySC (public domain) by Ross Ridge, which at one time (long ago) apparently compiled with DJGPP (G++ 2.4.5), but his latest (circa 2000) has a very bitrotted (broken) DOS makefile and only claims to have been tested with G++ 2.7.2 and 2.8.0 on other platforms (Solaris). But presumably it might actually be easier to hack together than trying to use the newer one with (often hard to get working) GNU Autotools. http://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca:11068/ I know these choices are not ideal, but something is presumably better than nothing. Of course, nothing is stopping you from using a different toolset atop another host platform with DOS-targeted code. As much as people love Git (and how Linus claims it's faster and superior to SVN, CVS, etc.), it might be overkill for small projects.
