Got it! So go32 is the dos extender and protected mode interface for DJGPP V1.12. So, when would I use QDPMI? I'm trying to get a grasp on "how" and "why" since I'm going back to V1. I know I have to use go32, but do I ever have to load QDPMIl?
Can you give me a reason or example for clarity?

Please keep this on the mailing list. DJGPP itself is written in
djgpp, so it needs the same environment as any apps it builds.
