They work for me.  I still use Rhide quite a bit, I think it works
flawlessly right from DOS, for example if you have your embedded system, and
want to debug/fiddle right upon that.

The original poster I think knows by now they need a .h after each of their
#includes, i.e. iostream.h, conio.h
