I also do a lot of debugging in the DOS-like environment - WinXP at the
moment. One example is network programming using a packet driver. It works
nicely in a DOS-box under WinXP using a virtual packet driver. There is no
way that you can do the same using a Windows or Linux cross compiling only
solution.
