If you use an invalid email address, your messages are not gatewayed
to the mailing list, and don't show up in the archives.  Using a name
like "nobody@" trips my invalid address filter, because so many spam
and virus attacks use such addresses.

I'm not saying not to use them, just making sure everyone knows the
limitations thereof.
