Are you sure? I think himem.sys is just XMS driver not DPMI server,
DJGPP progs doesn't need himem.sys loaded.

Easy way is to download CWSDPMI
http://www.volny.cz/rayer/programm/cwsdpmi6.zip
and put cwsdpmi.exe to directory in system path (eg C:\DOS) and DJGPP
progs find it automatically.
