Some MODE programs let you set signal sensitivity.
Try typing MODE /? or HELP MODE to see if that feature is available.
Or you can patch your serial cable.
Just short RTS with CTS and DTR with DSR.
It's not a bad idea to perform this at both ends of the cable too.
Null modem cables usually come configured like that anyway.
