I didn't get that impression the first time around, but if so, yeah, read the linker manual. And don't use djgpp's linker - build a cross-to-embedded toolchain, it will be happier :-) Actually, current linkers might complain about overlapping sections anyway, since they don't understand the concept of "segments" like the CS/DS stuff. I wouldn't be surprized if there were hidden gotchas too.
