yes, in principle I knew that this is also a usenet-group, but I almost
forgot it.
I use this as a mailing list and mails and posts are automatically
copied/converted
by delorie.com.
So I used email-type of quoting , hitting "reply to email".
Just as the below one, but with an additional step to convert
to text, I hope it appears as text. But I can't get the usenet ">" - quotes
easily this way

That worked fine. However try to quote a suitable portion of
whatever you are replying to.
