I have not updated this for a number of years now as I have moved to a
Windows dev environmnet, but If I remember correctly after the beta at
DJ's site is later and the GNU Compiler is guaranteed to be later.

YES, but due to MS bugs I would still expect to see some issues
cropping up from time to time. The biggest is with RHIDE, but you
should give the latest a go. Overall the latest 2.03 will work, BUT
you will need to re-compile most packages and in doing so you will
find that it will take you along time to get everything updated to be
reliable and you will have to build the complete set of packages at
least twice in order to make sure that the code does not have any old
objects included.

Thanks for responding Rod. 

The 2.04 from DJ's site from memory may be latter than that last one I
updated to clio.rice.edu . I do not expect to do any more releases as
the 2.04 release at DJ's site has all of the packages and source code
for someone to fix any issues that are found.
