NTVDM is a special virtual environment/machine to make old DOS programs =
run under Windows. Unfortunately, it's broken in several ways starting =
with Windows 2000. It gets worse in Vista, where must-have graphics =
modes for those old DOS programs are optional to implement. Finally, =
none of 16-bit DOS and 32-bit Dos Protected Mode Interface applications =
won't work under any 64-bit Windows as-is. You will have to install some =
virtualization software like VMWare, Virtual Server/PC, Bochs, QEMU, =
etc, create a virtual PC with a virtual HDD in it, install DOS in it and =
run all your DOS apps in there. The only more-or-less guaranteed way. =
Sigh.

what's NTVDM ?
I always use it in a DOS box.
I can't use makefile and have problems with keyboard and graphics =
commands.
I had used it before under plain DOS and some of my old programs don't =
work
in a DOS-box under XP.
So sometimes I have to boot DOS from disk and use DJGPP from there.
So, it works from DOS and from a DOS-box, but AFAIR there had been =
some problems,
when I first installed it.
