    In fact I *don't* need the files in gcc344b.zip -- only
djgpp-x.djl!

    What one should do is to download gcc344b.zip, open it with
    WinZip and extract djgpp-x.djl -- just and only this file -- to
    \DJGPP\bin.  After that, g77 will work like a charm.

    Thanks for your help, Andris.  You gave me the idea.  Now I
    have g77 working.
