We don't have a 32 bit version of DOS, that hasn't stopped us yet ;-) But 64 bit support from DPMI might be required. However, my opinion is that it's a lot of work for not a lot of gain - we already have 64 bit Linux, so there's little pressure for another 64 bit OS.
