Hello!
As of Friday, 23rd, 2005, December,
those into IRC can not find #DJGPP on a Freenode
server nearest you!
This is a self-help channel.
Being brand new, it might be empty the first couple times you
might /join, but please stick around and chat amongst yourselves
and try to help us keep the wonderful world of
DJ Delories DJGPP alive !!
Any topic, including PythonD, and any DJGPP package,
issue, etc., is aok. Freenode will not allow spam-bots and tries
their best to keep things a Family-Orientated environment.
New to DJGPP? Always wish you could have had learning how
to make that first-time installation? Help with updating/replacing,
or removing an existing package? Particulars about the DJGPP
tools, gcc, ld, as, etc., BASH, and many many other critical things
could now be within your reach.
All we ask is that you come join us, share your experiences, and
be polite to the newbies!
This is a channel to _share_ information. If you join, I hope you
observe for a while, and finally do join in the activities.
Perhaps, on some nights, scheduled in advance, provided we have
enough users joining (it is free you know), we might have "lectures"
on how to do certain things. 1) compiling that first project.
2) introduction to Bash 3) you_get_the_idea.
Followed by a question and answer period.
When the channel is quiet, you can brag about your latest DJGPP
project! and perhaps find those willing to try it out.
This is *NOT* a channel to discuss your commercial products!
You are free to discuss DJGPP, but as op, I will not tolerate any
foul language of severely off-topic discussions.
I wish this to be
a stress free,
very newbie friendly channel.
I also would like to see discussions get as technical as users are
able!
for the benefit of all to learn from.
Thank you.
See you there.
