That's a very bad choice.  Please upgrade to the latest release of
DJGPP 2.03 before you do anything else.  There's really no manpower
left in the DJGPP community to support non-current versions on top of
the current ones.

In this case, you don't have any choice at all.  Versions older than
the current one won't work on XP, period.
So, scrap the installation you have, and re-install current versions
of everything, then try again.
