And *why*, exactly, does it seem like that? I.e. what appears to be
wrong, what symptoms do anybody else's PCs show if they try to run it?
It's almost impossible that RHIDE in and of itself would have anything
to do with this. At a stretch, your RHIDE session might be using a
different DJGPP or GCC installation than your commandline invocation,
or something similarly peculiar to your PC.
