Synchronizing our computer clock can be a hard task. The counting of =
time varies with the days, with the number of processes in memory, etc.
Well, I present here a new solution that I made - The Time Keeper V. =
1.1.
What this little fully automated program does is synchronize your watch =
several times per day - you only need to have a internet connection =
active ( don't worry; if you don't, Time Keeper will wait patiently that =
you decide to connect to the Internet - it won't complain and will do =
its job ).
The second good part, is that you only have tor run the program one =
single time - Time keeper will stay where you putted it and will =
activate itself everytime Windows starts up. The third point is that the =
program updates the server database ( currently with 179 servers ) =
whenever there's a new version available at Cosmos. The reason for this =
list is because, sometimes, one NIST server is down - the program will =
try automatically the second, and so on...
If you prefer the "old" but good Nist software, I don't mind...but you =
will be missing a powerful tool. Test it.
NOTE: this software is freeware, and doesn't contain any kind of =
publicity - Adware and so on. Feel free to use it. To download it, do it =
in the main page of Cosmos - there's the news and the NIST test; you'll =
get there. If not, goto http://cosmos.com.pt/cosmos/nist/nist.shtml
I take this chance to ask that you look around a bit; there's an =
ephemeris server, an eclipse predictor, a satellite =
tracker...etc...etc...
Best regards,
=20
Atentamente / Sincerely
Rui Miguel Fernandes
