Sorry to double post, but I'm unsure how to stop my original message from going out. Anyway, I realized I should try a different FTP site. So I used the japanese site and everything worked perfectly. Aha! So I thought I'd redownload the zips from the New Hampshire site and see the exact errors I got before. I installed these zips into a differnt directory and they worked perfectly as well. So, my mysterious extra byte has disappeared into the bit bucket and I have no clue why it is suddenly working perefectly tonight (I'm nearly positive I haven't even rebooted). Well thanks anyway for the help earlier, off to coding. Tony Chamberlain
