The prototype is void dosmemput(const void *_buffer, size_t _length, unsigned long _offset); (you can see this in include/sys/movedata.h). If it doesn't compile then there is something wrong with your code. Randomly changing argument order is no way to try to debug code. If you pass the wrong arguments it will never work.
