I am assuming becuase you have been arround a while and participated
in a number of posts that you have the correct versions for XP.

I get the same results.

My colors look okay, but I don't take much notice. Which colors look
wrong?

I don't know. if you setup a shortcut somewhere there are a number of
settings like the following on the shortcut properties, not the window
property:-
a) Program->Avanced there is compatible hardware timer
emulation.... I wonder if this will fix timing problems where the
timers don't work as they did on W9x or DOS.
b) Misc there are a number of settings that are to do with
text mode
There are a number of other settings.
If you do get it to work better could you send me an email (remove the
.au in the email address).

There are a number of utils/libraries in the V2TK directory for
directly access the video hardware in text mode.
Another method is that there are a few Windows IDE's that work with
DJGPP. Some are better than others, but IMHO non come close to Rhide.
There is a version of Rhide for Windows that you may want to look at
to see what it can do.
