Thanks guys, It was that MEM /C command that I needed. I have plenty of DOS memory, it must be the program I am trying to run, which is a non-DJGPP program. My program must have all the conveventional memory allocated as you say, though that is not really on-topic any more. Thankyou for your help. Graham
