I am wondering, what *common* settings can the original Sound Blaster 
take.  for instance, how many possible DMA values are there?

i know that IRQ can theoretically be any of the 16 on the computer, but 
what about its BASE ADRESS, DMA, or HDMA (for SB16).

ps. i know i can autodetect it via the BLASTER setting, but its for a 
configuration utility that I am writing for one of my games, so i want 
to know what different setting values to put into the tool.
