-: > It could be as simple as having some e: directory ahead of the -: > djgpp\bin directory on the path. -: -: In that case, the E: drive would spin whenever _any_ program -: is invoked, right? I thought JT's complaint was specifically -: about Less. I'm using less version 358. I have seen this behavior only with `less'. Also, `less' will not touch the zip drive (e:) _unless_ there is an e:\<path> somewhere in my DOS PATH. However, that e:\<path> can be anywhere---even at the tail end of PATH, after both `.' and `djgpp/bin'---and `less' will still touch the zip drive. I'll explore further this weekend with gdb. === End ===
