Are you sure that DPMI is ON in the task where you are using DJGPP programs ? I have used DR-DOS & DJGPP for years but never seen that... Maybe NWCache creates problems (LEND=ON). Just an idea. Try Smartdrv, it works fine. If you have more than 64MB RAM, you can load M$ Himem.sys before DR's EMM386.
