I don't understand the question. stdprn is connected to the file
handle which the OS should funnel into the printer. On Windows, this
generally means that when you install a printer driver, you should
specify that DOS jobs use that driver as well. That is the only magic
you need.

Like you said: if fineprint doesn't support printing from the DOS box,
then you are toast. The only solution is to toss fineprint, or to use
temporary files.
