The one major advantage I've noticed is that bash will redirect djgpp
compile errors to stdout instead of stderr. This makes it easy to
redirect what ever errors you get fom djgpp to a file. I'm not an expert
in the use of bash, so there may be other reasons why or why not to use
it. However, you can download it from the following site if you want to
find out for yourself:
